Allyssa's mission includes providing encouragement and validation to parents, especially in the beginning of their journeys. She knows how difficult it can be. When a parent is in that phase of life their mind is swimming and they may not have time to read a 200 page book. Her book is something that any parent can read as a reminder on those hard days. Most of the book was written in real time. It was Allyssa’s wish that someone would have been able to hand her a resource comparable when she was struggling. The words in her book are words she wanted someone to validate who really understood. Allyssa wants to provide international support for parents who are caring for disabled children.
